Used Gulbransen Upright/Vertical Piano in Chicago

ABOUT THIS GULBRANSEN PIANO:

Great starter piano!  It's unusual to find a "furniture style" piano from a past era that doesn't LOOK like a furniture style piano from a past era.  The traditionally-designed, all-wood music rack (as opposed to one adorned with cane, lattice work, metal, etc) along with the traditional Mediterranean leg, keep this design current and timeless.  There's no particle board in this piano.

ABOUT GULBRANSENPIANOS:

Gulbransen actually began in Deerfield, IL back in 1915 and was later owned by CBS in NY.  They made over a half million pianos before they closed their doors in 1969.  The named has since lived on as a "stencil brand."  Gulbransen, like other brands in its price range, varied in quality level throughout the years so their value also varies considerably with design and condition (note that age is not listed as a major factor, as condition & design are much more leading factors of value).
