David Monti

A musician since early childhood, David played professionally after High School while studying Communications and English at UICC (1970-72). He later studied business and Economics at Elmhurst College (1979)

In 1981, after completing training at the Fred W. Tremper Institute of Piano Technology David became an independent tuner-technician, eventually becoming President of the Association of Piano Technicians. He later joined the Piano Technicians Guild (Associate member).

In 1995 David's lifelong interest in woodworking got the best of him, and he became a partner in Architectural Woodcraft, specializing in historic rennovation work in Asheville, NC. During this time, he continued to do piano warranty service for a Kawai Dealer in North Carolina.

From 1995 on, has worked in the retail piano industry, joining Cordogan's in 1996. After completion of player installation training in 1998, David has completed 500+ installations for both PianoDisc and QRS.
